Hello, friends!
It is a federal holiday where I live today, so I am taking the day off. We’ll be back next Monday (Sept. 13) with a new Most Dangerous Game; also, don’t forget to check out our giveaway for a signed copy of Dangerous Games To Play In The Dark! It runs until Sept. 20, so you’ve got about two weeks left to enter, if you like.
In the meantime, here’s something to keep you occupied:
Remember “My House Walk-Through?” It’s my favorite PiroPito video — even more so than the perhaps more well-known “username:666.”
Sadly, though, PiroPito reported in early August that the house in which he shot “My House Walk-Through” was slated for demolition that month. To mark the occasion — in memoriam of the place, in a way — he posted a few videos featuring footage of the house. They’re not horror videos; they’re more like behind-the-scenes footage, giving us a peek at the location before it vanished forever.
Given the amount of work PiroPito put into transforming the place, as seen in the actual “Making of ‘My House Walk-Through'” video the artist posted back in 2017, it’s definitely worth capturing on video; gotta preserve it somehow, right? So, for the curious:
- Here’s what the house looked like on Aug. 9, 2021;
- Here’s some reference footage from when he was making “My House Walk-Through”;
- And here’s what the house looked like on Aug. 21, 2021, with one wall demolished.
If you somehow missed “My House Walk-Through,” the original video can be found here; meanwhile, my analysis and attempt to decode it is here. PiroPito’s full YouTube channel, nana825763, is here.
See you next week, spooks!
