Stories of the Strange and Unusual

The Most Dangerous Games: The Doors of Your Mind

January 14, 2015 by Lucia

Previously: The Hooded Man Ritual.

Although the ritual game referred to as the Doors of Your Mind has been reposted in a number of places, I’m pretty sure it first appeared on the r/ThreeKings subreddit in 2012. Shortly after The Three Kings game itself took r/NoSleep on by storm, a spin-off sub devoted solely to “recipes” and experiences for similar games was created. It played host to a huge flurry of activities right after its creation; since then, it’s slowed down somewhat, with new posts being fewer and arriving further between. It’s still an interesting place to visit, though, so check it out if you haven’t already.

A hallway full of doors

But The Doors Of Your Mind isn’t the only version of this game out there. Variants such as Red Door, Yellow Door, the Game of Seven Doors, and Black Door, White Door have been played seemingly since at least the ’90s — possibly even longer.

[Like what you read? Check out Dangerous Games To Play In The Dark, available from Chronicle Books now!]

What this game does is let you explore the inner reaches of your own mind — a sort of guided meditation, if you will. But remember: Just because you’re inside your own mind doesn’t necessarily mean you’re safe.

As always, play at your own risk.

Players:

  • 1 principal.
  • 1 partner.

Requirements:

  • A quiet room.
  • A few candles.
  • Matches or a lighter.
  • An alarm clock.
  • A pillow (optional).
  • A recording device (optional).

Instructions:

The Prelude:

  1. Begin whenever you feel most relaxed.
  2. Find a quiet room, dim the lights, and set up your candles. Use the matches or lighter to light the candles, being mindful of fire hazards as you do so. If you would like to record your experience, set up your chosen device and begin recording.
  3. Set the alarm clock to go off one hour from the time you begin.
  4. Have your partner sit on the floor; you yourself should lie down with your head in your partner’s lap, facing up. You may use your pillow if you like. Close your eyes.
  5. Have your partner begin rubbing your temples in slow, circular motions. The tempo should be steady, and the overall feeling relaxing. Keep your eyes closed.
  6. Your partner will function as your guide for this next portion. Have them speak the following words to you: “You are at one end of a very long corridor. There are numerous doors on both sides of this corridor, spanning the entire length. I want you to explore these doors and the rooms behind them. Describe to me what you can see, hear, touch, and feel with great detail.”

The Exploration:

  1. At this point, you should find yourself in the corridor. Traverse it, exploring the doors that line it and the rooms kept behind the doors; as you go, describe each and every thing you encounter. There are no rules as to how best to explore the corridor and its rooms; you may, however, find the following tips helpful:
    • Pay as much attention to yourself as to your surroundings. What are you wearing? What’s in your pockets? Do you have anything meaningful about your person? Whatever you find, it might be useful.
    • Take a good look (and feel, and so on) of each door before you open it. What color is it? What size and shape is it? What does the handle look like? Is the handle an unusual temperature? These details and more might provide hints about what waits behind the door itself.
    • You do not have to open every door. Trust your instincts: If you feel it would be unwise to enter one… don’t open it.

The Return:

  1. When the alarm goes off, your partner should guide you back to the real world. The exact words spoken to do so are up to your partner, but in all cases, the corridor should recede and any doors that have been opened should be closed by the end.
  2. Once you have returned, blow out the candles and turn off the recording device (if using). You may listen to your recording at your leisure; or, you may choose never to listen to it. It’s entirely up to you.

Additional Notes:

This game may be played as many times as you desire. After you have played it enough times, you may no longer require the alarm clock; your partner should be able to determine when you are ready to make your way back.

If you enter a room filled with clocks, do NOT touch any of the clocks and leave the room immediately.

If you encounter an old woman, do NOT speak to her and leave the room immediately.

If you encounter a man in a suit — particularly one who inspires feelings of unease or dread —describe him immediately to your partner. Your partner should then end the session, regardless as to whether the alarm has gone off. If your partner is unable to end the session, do NOT speak to him and leave the room immediately.

Some doors may be locked, blocked, or otherwise barred. Check your person to see if you have a key; if you don’t, however, do not worry — you may simply not be ready to deal with whatever is behind it yet. Leave the door closed and move on.

It is not unheard of for personages encountered in specific rooms to lock you inside. One player recounted an instance in which his partner — in this case, his sister — was required to shake him violently in order to pull him back into reality.

A Word of Advice:

Tread carefully. Your mind is not always your friend.

I need help remembering this game that I played as a kid. It’s just like this one but actually more dangerous. Where you put yourself inside a room in your consciousness and if you look into a mirror you go crazy. You’re not supposed to think ofanything scary or you’ll start hearing noises and if you give in to that fear the noises will become louder and then eventually real and the only way out of the game it’s too close your eyes and believe you’re in the real world. Best way to get out is to put yourself in something soundproof and dark. Does anybody remember this?

Hey, is there any way to do this without the candles? If I’m expected to relax around an open flame, it’s not happening. I really want to try this one. I used to do a lot of guided meditation. Also, about the old woman, What if the old woman you run into is a relative or friend?

The candles don’t seem that important, so you could probably ignore them or just use fake candles with no actual fire. If that doesn’t work, though, I’d recommend Red Door- Yellow Door, as it doesn’t include candles (I believe, at least, that’s how I played it and it worked for me) and is pretty much the same.
As for the old woman, I’m assuming she’s only dangerous if she’s unfamiliar, or maybe it’s a ‘you’ll know her when you see her’ thing. That’s just my interpretation, though.

Just ignore whatever they say and LEAVE THE ROOM. They might trick you into staying forever because they might shove a clock in your hand or something.

having played this game, it’s much more of a hypnotic exercise in exploring your own mind & sections of it, than some eerie paranormal experience. my corridor & all of my doors were empty. I recall being in my childhood bedroom, devoid of furniture. there was a room that had blue walls and a window to the ocean. there was only one that I was afraid to enter and that door was black. there was a red door all the way at the end of the corridor that I was able to immediately recognise as the “escape door”. I don’t recall wearing shoes. I felt presences at some point during my adventure but would either ignore them or leave, & thus they had to affect on me.

Me and my brother decided to try out this game. My brother was my guide and I was the victim. We did what the game told us to do; we dimmed the lights, I cleared my mind. My vision started to dissipate, and I opened my eyes to see that there was a corridor containing 3 doors that were unusual; one was black, one was red, and the last one was green. I tried to go through the black door, but was unable to get inside. I ran up to the red door, opened it, and what I found was terrifying. In the corner of that room was the devil. I turned my back to see if I can exit the room, but it was closed and locked from the inside. My brother tried everything he could to awaken me from this type of trance, but it was ineffective. I looked the supposably “devil” in the eyes, and he started to walk towards me. Out of nowhere, I heard a voice that was telling me to get out of there. Luckily the door was wide open. I ran out of the room that had the black door. I put my hands into my jacket pocket and I had a key on me. I decided to lock the black door. Behind the black door I was presented with horrific screaming that was so loud, I almost went deaf. My brother was able to get me out of the trance-like state, and I told him what I just witnessed. It was truly terrifying!

If you watch the movie insidious its just about the same . Lorine puts him in a deep sleep so he can help his son that traveled to the other world. He can hear lorine at times but it just sounds like an echo. He sees a guy that`s in all black if he sees you he will try and hurt you. In the movie there also is an old lady who had killed her family and was very evil. There are many things like monsters and make belief kind of things, but if you watch the movie it will help with most of your questions I highly recommend it.

I entered the trance. As soon as I entered, I saw the man in the suit and old lady next to each other. They approached me at such a fast speed that I didn’t even have time to run away. I then saw a white light blind me, I heard screams and ringing. I was half awake by now but still also in the trance. I tried to wake myself up, but I couldn’t physically move. I managed to pull through, however, and I just about escaped the trance. What does all of this say about myself?

Note: We didn’t read the rule about leaving if we saw a man in a suit, but we never talked to them. We saw many.

I did this with my best friend and she ended up going to a dark mansion surrounded by a black forest. Everything was black. She saw one of the men in a suit (brown every time) and said he was intimidating and wouldn’t let her go up the stairs into the mansion. I started to ask her if there was another in or out of the area and she jolted awake while grabbing her left elbow. She keeps saying it feels like a pinched nerve and that she doesn’t remember anything. She only remembers the feeling of being grabbed.

Who are the men in suits and why are we supposed to leave if we see them?
What will happen since he touched her and the overwhelmingly annoying pain won’t go away?
Where did she go exactly? Like, not in a meditative state, but where did she go? Was it her soul? Was it inside her head? What happened?

I started the game with my partner. Horrified af I went up to what seemed to be a Black rotting door. I opened it and immediately went back to the same corridor except this time a silhouette of a man was standing at the end of the corridor. I checked my pockets to find nothing. But when this was happening I started thinking deeper that I needed a weapon then pop this Game totally changed I was holding some sort of gun. I was all the sudden in charge I entered the first room seeming to be a room filled with clocks (as said) I freaked out and left as quick as possible. I then couldn’t move and the whole hallway turned black light by light. I thought of what I wanted but I seemed to be to deep in now my gun turned to molasses and the door all the way at the end of the hallway opened. Screaming began as a white silhouette came out of the door as if it was coming up stairs. I then heard “don’t go in the basement” the muffled sound of my partner saying “are you ok?” I finally got a grip and replied but didn’t say what I wanted to say instead of saying “Yes” I said “shut up” I then started moving forward into the basement as the rest of the hallway was destroyed behind me. I walked downstairs heard 1 million screams and a person creeping around the corner then boom. I woke up. I said to my partner “Why did you wake me up???” he replied “you were screaming help and let me out!” this game is something else. And if your scared about the hospital bed comments those aren’t true. Nothing happened to me. I am now having these creepy voices when I sleep, and lucid dreams. I did everything to stop the dreams but I always end up in the hallway. If anyone’s got an idea of what I should do to stop this list please reply.

Now that im reading about this i didnt know that this is what i experienced. Or maybe i experienced something way different. Im not entirely sure. I remember ‘waking up ‘ in my own room but something was off. Im afraid of the dark so i always sleep with the blinds open to let the moonlight in. When i woke up in ‘my room’ , it was darker than usual. I saw a little boy standing near my bedroom door. I couldn’t help but get close to him to see if i could recognize him and i wish i hadnt. The little boy had big black eyes and he kept pointing for me to open the door. I remember reaching for the handle and all of a sudden i wake up or more like i was woken up. I sleep by myself but that night it felt like something grabbed me by the waist and pulled me out of my sleep. It felt so real . I had to look behind me . Nothing there. I was so freaked out i froze. I wanted to wake up and run out of my room but I couldn’t get up. I just laid there waiting for the morning and ended up going back to sleep. Nothing else happened after that . I called my mom the next day and told her what happened. She said would pray for me. Did I experience this ritual without knowing it or is this something else?

This is the best method for the game. Me and some mates had a sleep over last night, and I was a guide for two of them. One of them said their corridor looked like an asylum or a hospital, she saw a few things. When she opened a door, she saw a girl crying, apparently looked a bit like the chick from the ring. I told her to close the door and leave. When I guide, I don’t make them enter right away, I tell them to tell me what they see inside, and determine whether it’s safe. There was one particular door at the end of the corridor, a wooden door. I told her to approach it, but don’t open it. She said she felt uneasy about it, I think she opened it, and saw eyes looking at her. She said she felt cold and uneasy, the way she jumped gave me a heart attack. I told her to close the door and get away from that door. When she was back at the start of the corridor, she said she saw something come from that door and run at her, like a demonic looking thing. I got her out immediately.

The second friend was different, the first 2 doors she saw was an iron door, and a gold door. Something about the iron door, I just didn’t want her in it, so I told her to go through the gold one. Her corridor had a left and right turn twice. There was one instance where she was in a child’s bedroom with a blue elephant on the bed, she felt like she didn’t belong in the room, like she was imposing a bit. She also saw a painting of a young Victorian woman in her 20s, who looked grumpy. Later on, she saw a room with pictures of a little 6 year old boy, brown hair, more modern clothing, apparently very happy looking, reaching up to hold someone’s hand, but that person is cut off. She also saw a picture where the woman and boy were in the same shot, same thing, mean looking woman, happy little boy. She came across this room where there was a desk, poster if a band, and her childhood soft toy, which she still has. I told her to walk in of course, I don’t remember if I told her to pick up the lion, but she did. She said it was her lion, but it felt a bit harder, and she said the toy lion blinked at her. I told her to immediately put it down, walk out, and close the room. I don’t feel safe if there’s something that moves like that, same with people. When I told her to go back to the start, I told her to walk up to, and describe the iron door. She said she felt cold, and very uneasy around the door. She also said the door knob was cold. I told her to step away from the door, and she said she felt better away from it. I then got her out.

When I guide people, I feel like I am sort of connected with how they feel in their mind, I don’t know how to explain. I was very cautious with the wooden door with friend 1, as well as the iron door with friend 2. When they mentioned them, I just didn’t like it. That’s my experience, I’ll probably do it one day.

I was doing it and it started out in a hallway of a castle then a princesses bedroom. Then I entered an old library. Then a medieval fair and I was passing by the dessert booth when a man in a suit started to approach me. I wanted to ask him a question, but I wasn’t able to because I was 30 mins in so they took me out before I even told her that I saw a man in a suit.

It doesn’t seem like any account that I’ve read uses any control whatsoever, beside leaving a room or narrating. So I imagine that you need no lucid dreaming skills.

Here’s my theory: the room with clocks is your lifespan. the more, the longer you live. also they said not to cuz it shortens your lifespan. also the lady in the whatever represents your enemies. I don’t know what the man in the suit is meant for, but it makes absolute sense.

Me and my friend played the game and before we started we read some of the replies, one of them said that they found a blue door and had an old lady in it but for us this is what happened. He started out in a pair of shorts and a candy wrapper in his pocket. Then he was in the corridor but it wasn’t as big as he thought it was going to be. There were 3 doors a blue door with a brass handle, a green oval shaped door with a normal house door, and a dark brow door like a new door. He went in the green door and found a grandfather clock and nothing else so he left. The brown door had a wrinkled person mumbling words, and he felt them coming closer so he left the room but moving slowly, he got to the door closed it and locked it with a key that was all of a sudden in his pocket. The blue door was unlocked and he went in and he saw a mirror with a white thing/figure but couldn’t figure out what it was so he left and we ended the game.

I tried this once with my friend, and the the first thing I did, was the worm. (Who wouldn’t do that first). The first room I went in, was a town that I used to dream about all the time. I was so happy to see my dream town again, but there was no people in the town. I also noticed my clothes were very eighties. I actually enjoyed this weird mind adventure very much.

So i tried it and just want to know what my results mean. At first i was in a very dimly lit hospital with 12 foot doors on each side. All were black except for one that was white. I had shaky vision kinda and couldn’t stay still for some reason. So I went to the first black door and everything was fine. The room was an olive green color and was only lit by a candle in the corner. The windows kept blowing open on their own, which made me feel uneasy, so I left that room. Once I stepped back into the corridor, I glanced towards the other end of it and saw a silhouette of a very big man. This made me very uncomfortable so I rushed to another door, which happened to be the only white door in the corridor. (not smart ik). When I opened it there was an old nun-looking lady towering over me that was about as tall as the doors (the doors are huge, 12 feet). I told my friend what I saw and she shook me awake once this happened. Does anyone know what this means lol.

Okay. My friends and I took turns playing this game at a sleepover. Everyone but my friend R could play, but for some reason he couldn’t…possibly due to him being a non- believer in the spirit world. Now, keep in mind this was just our first experience and we are looking forward to playing again sometime, but before we do, I had a few questions.

    1. If you find yourself at the end of the corridor with no doors left to explore and the time has not run out, what do you do?

    2. For me, I found it quite difficult to awake in the corridor in the first place, but even when I did, I had to use my imagination to create the doors and the rooms came to be once I did. I know that was completely wrong, so before I try again, could some people please give me good advice on how to have a complete, not-vague-at-all, experience? Thanks!

    3. When in a room with clocks, (we did not touch any of them) both my friend Z and I attempted to read the time, and the time in our minds was the EXACT time as the real world. There was no way of us actually knowing this prior to reading the clock, as we told our partners what we saw as the time then they immediately woke us up and showed us the time that matched our mind-clocks. This is really scary to experience, so I was wondering how that could be or if it truly is just our minds at work…

Thank you so much if you take the time to respond, as it is very important for us to clear this up!

Can I get some advice as to what to try next time or what I might be doing wrong? Thanks.

I played the game alone. It went well but, mine is weird. Okay so I was in a corridor I didn’t checked what I’m wearing but as I remember I’m wearing a black pants.
In that corridor there are door frames but there are no doors, it is all open. I decided to go in one of the door on the left. I found nothing except for the windows and it’s a large empty, dark room, all you can see are the door frames and the light coming from the windows and I went to the corridor and checked out the other side but it is the same as the left, they’re like symmetrical. And I decided to walk much further on the corridor and few more steps there’s a different door it’s a white door it is shining the knob is a normal knob and then I noticed that 2 doors after the white shining door there’s this door it’s color is white but it’s dirty and full of stain but I decided not to open those doors and I went back and walk through the corridor and but it is all the same door frames, open dark room, and I sat on the the right side next to a door but as I sit the the door next to me closed but it’s weird because there’s no door on that door frame awhile ago .
I stand up checked that door, it is the same door as the dirty white door but this door is clean no stain, etc. Inside the room there area many clocks, round clock, floor, ceilings, all the corners are clock but there’s a mirror at the wall sorrounded by clock I went to look at it, but as I touch it I suddenly woke up. I feel goosebumps but that’s all nothing happened after that.

So I just read through this now (late to the game I know) and I thought I’d point out a few things because, apparently, I’ve been playing this game for years without even realising I have, and I have learned a lot.

First off, you by no means need any of the objects or steps listed in these instructions. You can literally enter the corridors in your mind simply by closing your eyes and thinking about the rooms in your mind. This may take some time to perfect, especially if you have never experienced this before and don’t know what your mind may look like.

One of the key things to note in your mind that it is, obviously, your mind. Meaning that you can, to an extent, manipulate it. This is crucial, because when I first started going into my mind years ago I found it incredibly difficult to get out again. The way I got past this is by, for lack of a better term, creating an exit point in my mind. This helped me subtly let my mind know that it was time for me to return to reality, and has been one of the most useful things I have done inside my mind.

Another important thing I noted in this article was the ending, where it described the various dangerous encounters you have in your mind. I have to say I strongly disagreed with this point.

At the risk of sounding pretentious and hipster-ish, what you see in these rooms are entirely dependent on how you look at life and what your mindset is like. I’ll use myself as an example. A few years ago I suffered from mild bouts of depression, which obviously gave me a negative outlook on life. During this time, whenever I explored my mind I would always feel a sense of something not being right, and it really used to put me on edge. Although I never encountered something explicitly wrong in my mind, the feeling was still enough to put me off returning inside my mind for a little while. However, once I had finally gotten over my depression and had begun entering the corridors in my mind again, I found this aura had vanished completely. If you aren’t a particularly positive person, I would recommend being particularly cautious trying this, or just avoid it altogether.

I hope this cleared up a few things for people. If you have any more questions feel free to ask and I’ll do my best to help you out.

The doors of your mind: my story

I don’t care if no one reads this I just have to get it off my chest.

Okay so I’m going to start this story pretty cliché, don’t play this game, especially if you are the player and not the guide. This is my story of the supernatural game the doors of your mind.

Me and two of my friends Talayna and Tyline were having a sleep over and we were joking around about playing a game, a supernatural game. So after looking up some and finally finding one that wouldn’t get any of us hurt or killed we made a choice and we choose the door of your mind.

So after getting the things we needed, a few candles, a timer, a bed, a quiet room, our volunteer player( Talayna) and guide (Tyline) we started the game. Talayna’s head was placed on Tylines lap as she rubbed circles into her temple, as I sat on the bed opposite to them. After about a minute Talayna said. “We’ll this is awkward.” And we all laughed.

“You are at one end of a very long corridor. There are numerous doors on both sides of this corridor, spanning the entire length. I want you to explore these doors and the rooms behind them. Describe to me what you can see, hear, touch, and feel with great detail.” Tyline didn’t even say that when Talayna started saying things “I see a letter with red handwriting.” Talayna said, me and Tyline weren’t that scared yet, and then she described the first door. “I see a red door with brown swirls in it. I am opening the door.” At this point I was terrified that she would see the old man or woman the Internet told us to steer clear of. “The room’s walls are covered in eyes.” She said as I let a breath I didn’t know I was holding out. She continued on like this for a few more minutes until she went into a room, and the woman was there! “Get out now!” We told her and she left. She entered another room and she saw the man, and he ran after her. “Talayna, Talayna please wake up wake up!” Tyline screamed at her, but all she did was continue on describing the doors.

Jumping back to my seances I tried to wake her up as well. I had to shake her awake. After waking her up she commanded us to turn on the lights and blow out the candles. After that we looked at the recording, it was deleted.

“What happened?” We asked her. ” what did the man look like?” We asked her. “He was an old man and he was quite tall. But the worst where his eyes.” “Why what did his eyes look like?” And her answer will haunt me for the rest of my life. “His eyes God his eyes they were yellow and piercing.” Needless to say none of us got much sleep that night.

I have done this ritual, and it was very interesting. My friend was my partner.

I was wearing a blue shirt and jeans. In one of the pockets in the shirt, there was a note. I decided not to read it until later. I first went into a room with a yellow door. The knob it had had a flower on it. This room made me feel safe. Inside of it i saw a small pink flower in the corner. I peeked in further and saw a picture of a man. His smile frightened me. I thought this was the man in the suit, so i went to a diferent room. It had a light blue door, and a lock. Luckily, i found a key on the ground infront of the door. I opened to door and went inside the room. There was a note on the floor in the center of the room. I rushed over and picked it up. I read it, and it said shut the door. This frightened me, but i did as the note said. After that i decided to read the note that was in my pocket. This one was blank. Disapointed i put the note back in the pocket. Later i heard a knock at the door. There was a mans voice. I felt uneasy, so i didnt open the door. I saw a little girl in the corner of the room. She was holding what seemed to be a red doorknob. I asked her why she was holding it. She told me that it was for me and gave it to me. She told me that i needed to take the note that was in my pocket and slide it under the door. I did as told. After i did this, there was silence. The girl told me to peek under the door. I saw nothing and told her this. The girl then walked over and slowly opened the door. She told me to run to the purple door across the corridor, and insert the doorknob, open the door, grab the doorknob, go inside, shut the door, and dont open the door no matter what i hear. I was afraid but i did it. After a few minutes i heard screaming. This scared me, but i didnt open the door. After a bit a note was slid under the door. I picked it up. It said “save me”. I didn’t know what this meant. I then heard the timer, and i woke up.

Does anyone know what the “save me” note meant?

It’s a very similar ritual, and frankly it’s easier to play since there isn’t too many requirements in order to enter. However, it’s more dangerous as there are more things to look out for and it can affect the guide and fellow chanters. It is also possible to die in Red Door Yellow Door. I’ve played it as the guide with my friends at a public place (no need for candles or silence; you only need someone to chant). My friend nearly got trapped because she looked at her reflection in a room full of mirrors. My other friend (who was chanting; otherwise she did nothing) started feeling nauseous and nearly threw up afterwards

I played this game 3 years ago, my partner was my older sister, it worked. In the mind world, i had the appearance of someone wearing a sandal and casual clothes, in my hand there is a knife. I speak to my sister “sis can you hear me?”, the answer came from piece of paper that came from above “yes”, i feel rather safe because of that, then went through it. The first door i open had green color, the inside is a forested area, i remember it being the forest which i did holiday there when i was a kid, the second door is a mirror with a doorknob, the inside is a small room with other me (yes a person who completely looked like me), there he questioned me about some of my experiences, from silly one to the worst one, because my answer toward the worst one wasn’t acceptable by him, he urged me to leave. then i went toward long corridor while ignored a creepy looking door, at the end of the corridor i found a door with color i don’t know but there is a blood splattered around it, i didn’t enter it and turn around, that’s when i found the man with suit, a sense of dread attacked me, i told my sister by screaming “sis, the man with suit comes”, before i get reply from my sister, the man attempted to attack me, i used the knife from earlier and stabbed him with it, he stumbled but managed to grab my leg, i looked at him, his grin was very terrifying, i despaired, but a door suddenly appeared with a word exit, with all my strength i managed to free my leg from his grab and went trough the door, before i knew it, i was in my sister arm. That experience surely very unique and terrifying

I experienced a similar thing when I played this game, apparently my friend could feel a weird ‘pulse’ of emotions when he attempted to wake me up. He said that he felt sad as he shook me to wake me up, because I had said that I could see a floating bullet-choked corpse of a man in Army uniform and beret holding a .500 Magnum. He was floating as though the bullets had thrown him off his feet. Why did he feel sad when he grabbed me by the arms? His hands and my arms were bare btw. Anybody else experienced his?

So 13 years ago I did some thing with a person where he put his hands over mine and would “go in my mind and knock on a door”. I felt dizzy and he said he felt dizzy even though I didn’t say anything. When he knocked on the door I felt my mind push him very hard out and again he described this without me saying what I was feeling. Has anyone heard of this? Kind of weird experience and I don’t know if the person was good at reading people or if this is a thing?

When I played this, I was with my friend.

The corridor was like all red rust and concrete. I was wearing a white, long-sleeve sweater, jeans, and black and white sneakers. I had a golden stopwatch in my pocket, a tiny pen flashlight, watermelon gum, and a pocket knife. The door on my right was red, with a rusty golden old-timey handle I don’t know why but I didn’t open it. I didn’t like the feeling.

The door on my left was white with the same handle. Inside was a kitchen on the left side and an open space on the right. The ceilig was white and so was the floor, but the floor was dirty. The cupboards for the kitchen were green with a marble pattern of a lighter green. The countertop was a white with gray spots. And the cupboards under the metal sink was just wooden. Other than that, it was a pretty basic room.

I left and the next door was black. No handle. I liked this door since it’s my favorite color. But scared of it because I couldn’t open it. I pressed my ear to it but I couldn’t hear anything. It was oddly… Freezing. I’m not talking cold. I’m talking FREEZING like it could freeze boiling water in two minutes. I stare at it, wanting to break down the door, but pass it by because my partner told me to.

The next door was green. The saying “Green means Go!” my grandma told me a long time ago. So I entered. A man in a black suit, blue tie, a black fedora and the only thing I could see of his face was bulging red eyes and a creepy, wide- literally could be stretched ear to ear, curved smile. The room was just like the first room on the left. But there was a wooden stool in a corner on the right. When I looked back at the man, he was walking towards me with long strides. I ran away… But I woke up due to my friend shaking me awake. She said that she’s been telling me to wake up since I said: “A man in a black suit” I was mad at her because I wanted to try and open the black door again after I got rid of the man.

Do any of you guys know why I was so intrigued by the door? Please tell me. XD

If you mean the black door, the ritual stated that black mostly means fear and death. And ecause that door had no handle, your mind proboaly wasnt ready for it, as the ritual also states your mind isnt ready for some things. Hope this helped!

No idea (sorry : ( ). Each mind has their own distinction of what do they resembles, consciously or sub-consciously. Only the mind itself knew what it meant, unless you know it.

Maybe, just maybe, this is a fear you have. Mostly I’d say red resembles blood, and sometimes death. So maybe your fear is dragging you in. Because, as the ritual stated, “remember, your mind is not always your friend.” But other than that, i got nothing. Hope it helped!

Could your partner influence what you wear so you could have a weapon to face the women and man for I think they resemble the devil and your worst fears but remember this when you do it “the only thing to fear is fear itself” and “fear is not real. It is a illusion created to stop yourself from doing something”

Theres one thing your missing about the game. My friends great grandma taught him this because it had been passed down for generations and the goal is to find 3 gems hidden inside your mind. Once you find all 3 you will feel good for the rest of the day. Also when we played we had 2 people at once, and sometimes stuff from one persons hallway would transfer to the other

I’ve heard that there should be no sound because sometimes things people say can manifest in the corridor since it’s your mind and it’s literally your brain comprehending things. Perhaps one person’s description of the corridor manifested in the other’s. Also, beware black and pink doors as a lot of these comments have had bad experiences in those rooms.

I’ve always liked clocks and watches, and being able to take them apart and put them back together always gives me a soothing feeling. I recently played this with a very close friend of mine, with me as her guide, and I thought I would comment on how things went.

For one thing, at first there was no corridor. My friend claimed to be in a subway station, waiting on a train. The entire place was empty. She said that after a while a train would show up, but each time she kept walking towards it, the train would flicker and disappear.

After a few attempts to get on the train, I suggested we look for different routes. We eventually stumbled upon a tunnel system, some tunnels were dark and I suggested to my friend she avoid going down those.

She then started seeing large, heavy set, blue metal doors. Some locked, but the rest opened with ease. The first she entered led her to an inviting white room, complete with a fireplace and comfortable furniture. She mentioned a dark shadow presence in one corner and so I guided her out the room towards other possible doors to try.

At this point her dog came running into the room, and she mentioned her puppy being within her mind now as well. Walking alongside. It was a sweet sentiment far as I am concerned.

After going through another door, my friend ended up on a twisting metal walkway. She said there were many such walkways and she was above what seemed an endless drop. Each walkway had a door at one end but they all seemed connected in one point. At this central point she says was a giant black sphere, pulsating, and into which all the walkways led.

She stuck a hand into the sphere and said she felt pins and needles, this led to some discomfort in her hand even after the game, mind you.

It is at this time that she said things kept flickering, sort of like a video game with a low frame rate. Where she would take an action, and see it played out before resetting to three seconds or so before taking the action.

I led her to another door, this one wood and brown as she described it. She said it felt almost like home and very welcoming. As she opened it, she was greeted by a grotesques faceless old woman, but thanks to the whole glitchiness mentioned earlier she managed to slam the door shut.

We then headed to another door and she entered it, finding it to be the room of a young man she claims to have seen in a dream before. She then tried speaking to the man, but he could not hear her. So she started imagining subtitles which is how they then had their chat. She enjoyed a lovely conversation with him and some tea before I set about guiding her back to reality.

She is still scared of the woman she saw and has been keeping her nightlight on for the weeks since when sleeping. But all in all, we had an interesting experience and she seemed happy that her puppy was with her talking to the boy. 🙂

Okay, so I tried this the other day and it is the weirdest sensation ever. I was fully conscious and aware of the real world, but I was also in the corridor in my head. My partner (who after she heard my account refused to do hers out of fear) said that while I was in the corridor she could see my eyes moving beneath my eyelids, my hands touching things she couldn’t see as I described them and even my breathing quickening at certain points.

When I first appeared in the corridor, it was light grey with multicoloured doors to my left was a red door, and to my right was a white door. I was dressed smartly, in a short green kilt, white knee socks, a navy jumper and my school loafers. I entered the red door and found myself in a fairly small, square room with a wooden stool in one corner and a large window on the left wall. When I looked through the window, I could see across a street to an apartment block with concrete balconies, and from what I could see outside I guessed that I was on the seventh or eighth floor of the building. I left the room, finding nothing else of interest. I went across the hallway and entered the room with the white door and found myself in a mirror image of the previous room, yet the window displayed the same image. I left continued further down the hallway until I came across a pink door being blocked by a dark wood table with wheels. I pushed it aside and inside the room, sitting on the stool was a young man. He too was dressed smartly in a white shirt, a blue tie, grey trousers and brown brouges. I didn’t think that he was the man in the suit, since he made me feel calm and somewhat protected. He sat on the stool with his head hanging and he looked sad. He looked at me and smiled glumly before hanging his head again. I left the room and continued down the hallway until I reached a considerably more elegant door. It was glossy black with marble steps leading up to it and had a wrought iron handrail. I entered this room too fine two more young men in the room. This room had wallpaper, with vertical stripes in alternating shades of pine green. The room was also larger than all the other rooms I had entered so far. One of the man was the same man as the previous room, hanging his head sadly and sitting on a wooden stool. The other looked very similar to the first man, except instead if having dark hair, was ginger and had freckles. He stood with his hands in his pockets, smiling at a painting on the wall. He was dressed in a similar smart was as the man on the stool, except this time he had red braces on his trousers and a blazer. I turned around to leave, only to find that the handle to the door was gone. In its place was a hole. I turned around again and saw that the man standing at the painting’s hair had turned from ginger to mid-blond and the room had become L-shaped. Suddenly, there was a knocking on the door and I peered through a hole to see an older man with silver hair in a full suit smirking gleefully outside in the hall. I felt threatened by this man’s presence, and clearly so did the other people in the room as they immediately looked to the door, seeming concerned. The man on the stool instructed me to tell the man outside to come back later since they weren’t ready for an audience. I did as I was told and the man outside looked unimpressed. He paced up and down the hall before entering one of the rooms and reappeared not long after looking quite angry. He came back up to the door of the room I and the other two men were in and passed me a set of car keys through the hole in the door. He told me to throw them as far as I could out of the window, so I did. If was then that I realised that it had become nighttime and I wondered where the time had gone. I threw the keys and not twelve seconds after I saw the man from outside jump after them and land on his front on the pavement below, unmoving. I turned around to tell one of the men, but the man on the stool had disappeared, leaving only the blond man. I told him what had happened and his face grew worried, scared even. He pulled a door handle from his pocket and used it to open the door, before taking me by the wrist very gently and leady me out into the hallway. He told me to run back to the first room that I entered, stand on the stool and not to move until he came to get me. This worried me, but I followed his instructions all the same. As I ran, I noticed how dark the hall had become and it was difficult to make out the colours of the doors, but I managed to find the red door and I stood on the stool as the blonde man had told me. A few moments passed and I heard footsteps running down the hall and the blonde man burst into the room, slamming the door behind him, panting. His once perfectly combed hair had become slightly disheveled and he looked pale from fright. He told me to push the stool against the door, and as soon as I did, he pulled me into the furthest corner of the room and held me close. The alarm went off and somehow he heard it and knew that I had to leave. The last thing he said to me in a trembling, panicked voice was “Please don’t go. Don’t leave all alone.”

I have no idea what he was so afraid of, but if anyone has any clue what this all means I’d love to know.

my explanation is it was probably a guy who did the ritual and got trapped because his friend didn’t set an alarm and left him and he was scared to be all alone but this is the only flaw how could you enter someone elses mind

I did this ritual with four other friends during a hang out. I didn’t participate myself but we tried it on two of our friends. The ritual is basically hypnosis and yes it does work so long as you’re fully relaxed and on the right mood to be “guided” in. However, I would personally plan out with your partner ( regardless of whether you’re acting the principle or the partner guiding them through ) how you’re going to be lead back from hypnosis and what to do in case of an emergency. When we did this ritual on the first friend, we weren’t quite sure what we were doing and when things went wrong, we rushed trying to lead them out to the real world and nearly lost them bringing them back. They were completely dazed when they returned, acting like they were given anesthesia and didn’t retun to normal until two hours later. So please take proper precautions and plan things out if you’re trying this for the first time. If anyone wants to know, I’ll tell you what both my friends witnessed during the ritual and what happened to them.

Let me say this: I did the ritual and it worked, but it was crazy weird. So my corridor is my school, and I’m wearing the same wedding dress my mother wore on her wedding day. I didn’t have pockets, but I had a bouquet in my hand. There were the exact amount of doors as there are in my actual school. So, I begin walking. I come to my homeroom classroom door. It wasn’t the same though. It had a teardrop design on it, and it made me feel uncomfortable, but I entered anyway. I find a girl my age on a mattress, crying. I ask the girl what was wrong, and she said that she didn’t want to make you feel bad. I left the room, and went to another room. It would be my math teacher’s room. It was a black door and the knob was steaming hot. It gave me awful vibes, but being me, I opened it anyway. It wasn’t the old woman, it was the clock room. I obviously slammed the door, and kept walking. I saw the old lady in the corridor, and she was headed right at me, but strangely she just walked right through me, and kept walking. I was relieved. I go up to a door that had flowers on it just like my bouquet. It gave me no vibes, and you bet I entered it. That was a mistake. The door slammed shut behind me, and I just kept walking up the isle. The church was decorated like someone was getting married. Then there was a man in a suit with a long, dark shadow. I stopped, and he said, you’re late for our wedding. Then he grabbed me by my shoulders….. and he legit kissed me. I woke up shocked.

I think I know what the crying girl on the mattress meant…… it was my best friend at our sleepover. I made her feel uncomfortable, but she didn’t want to leave, cause she didn’t want to make me feel bad.

The crazy wedding thing….. I have no idea, but that was disgusting.

If you know, please tell me! That was confusing. AND GROSS.

I really want to play this game, badly, but I can’t do this with my friends right now. My sister won’t do it either cause she is scared, so should I just do it by myself? Will anything bad happen if I do it at night? Also, if the man in the suit gets you, what happens? Do you die in reality? I don’t want that to happen to me…. Have a nice day!

The rules say that, if you see a man in a suit, you should describe him and then leave. Why not just leave?
Also, did anyone ever talk to the man in the suit/talk to the old woman/touch a clock in the room full of clocks … and then return to tell what happened?

    Me: What are you wearing?

Friend: (whispers after 7 sec) I don’t know

    Me: You don’t know?

Friend: (whispers after 3 sec) yes

Me: Okay, what color is the door to the left of you?

Friend (whispers after 5 sec) yellow

Me: Does the room give you bad, good, or no vibes?

Friend: (whisper after 9 sec) no vibes

Me: Can you go in it?

But then I got a text from my Dad telling me to come home for supper so I never got to see the room 🙁

We tried this with two of my friends and yes, unless you’re in too deep ( as someone else described ), you should be able to hear your friend. That or they can help influence your decisions if things go wrong ( which is what we did with our second friend ). Aside from what’s listed in the instructions, I would really watch out for anything that makes you/the principle uncomfortable or scared. The moment you start to feel that skel thing is wrong or a gut feeling that you shouldn’t touch something, avoid it as it’s probably for the better

I played this game last summer with my younger sister; she was my guide. I don’t actually remember much of the incident–in fact, I completely forgot that it happened. I only remembered some time ago when I picked up one of my older drawings. Immediately after the game, I had drawn some of the people I saw. I had to ask my sister who they were when I found the picture again. She described the game to me and was shocked that I didn’t remember, considering how unsettled I was afterwards. She said I wouldn’t even let her play. Anyway, my drawing depicted:

An old woman in a chair (she was smiling sweetly, and at the time of playing we weren’t aware that she was dangerous, but my sister advised me to pass her anyway. I wonder what would have happened if she hadn’t).

Three people, having an argument (I think it was a father, a daughter, and the daughter’s boyfriend. The boyfriend wasn’t really arguing though–I think he just looked uncomfortable. Maybe the father didn’t approve of their relationship? I don’t know what that has to do with me, however).

A tall, sad young man (my sister said that I wanted to help him, because he seemed so, so sad. He apparently followed me around for a short period of time, until he sat down in a room with a TV. She said she never trusted him, but I liked him very much).

A young business man (he shook my hand and talked very fast. He never stopped smiling. He reminded me of the stereotypical New Yorker. I couldn’t tell if he was my agent or if he was trying to sell me something).

A painting of a crying woman (her tears ran over the frame and down the wall, and her eyes followed me. My sister said she guided me out of that room immediately, just because it was unnerving).

A college-age boy, holding a red solo cup (my sister told me one of my rooms had a party, and I had stepped on his foot. When I tried to apologize, he just stared at me. I think it has to do with my social anxiety? Or maybe a fear of older boys and men? I’m not sure).

And a man in a suit (he was drawn with a long, long shadow following him in my picture. My sister said that I had described him to her in great detail, down to the “hungry?” look on his face, but now I don’t even remember the color of the suit).

If you read all of this, I appreciate it. Maybe you could help figure out who some of these people are or represent? Thank you. Do you like brownies? Have a virtual brownie.

The old lady and man in a suit are manifestations of your fears. The college boy, the three people arguing, and the businessman are probably people you’ve seen before irl. Perhaps the college boy is about social anxiety or fears of young men tho. The tall, sad man might have been a stray thought wandering. Perhaps you’ve read about him before or seen him irl.

The woman in the painting is… a bit mysterious. She seems a bit scary so perhaps you read about her in a creepypasta, or imagined your own monster a long time ago and forgot but still have some lingering bits left about it.

      Hope dat helped, baii

I’m not strong enough to do it by myself because id never be able to wake myself up. 2.) the only people I’d trust to help me do this would either freak out because I can’t even get her to run around in Skyrim because she doesn’t want to hurt the animals but the other person would probably slap me awake and I don’t react well when I wake up to both being slapped and an blaring alarm clock… Also, what would happen if you walked up to the suit man and flicked him on the nose..? I mean that’s a stupid question but if you don’t speak to him buy still bother him, will anything happen

Second, I really don’t recommend approaching the man and the old lady. Even if you don’t speak they could be dangerous either way. So better to just leave

Also, the lady left blood messages I could not read on the walls and the man was just ink blots, but so scared… Something could have happened to me if I had not run away from her. Afterward in the dream, in the attic, I was stalked by a doll with a knife stuck in it and the handle up trying to attack me, but my grandpa was there and stopped it for some reason. I was also in their kitchen, so maybe that was why he stopped it and no one else.

So, I did this. Things got strange. (I didn’t remember most of it, but this is what my partner said) for the first five to ten minutes things were pretty normal, with nothing evil or scary, just the strange things that tend to lurk in the mind.
Then I opened a door that was a fading cyan. He said I described the handle as a rusting antique brass lever ‘contraption.’ I opened it because it felt safe. When I was young I had a reoccurring dream of a house in a field with a door like that, and inside was always a dusty but inviting sunlit kitchen.
That was not the case now. I opened it and inside was a giant cat. It had kind of a pointed face, was grey with white bits, and very large ears. My partner said that the way I described it reminded him of a giant version of the Pokèmon called Glameow, but as a realistic cat. I did not move away but I did not enter. For the entire rest of the session, I described that cat. I said things like ‘she wants to understand me the same way some scientists study worms’ and he said that I constantly repeated that she was big enough to swallow me whole. I also described her eyes a lot, and my partner very specifically told me that I said: “her head is high above mine, held regally as she gazes at me. I can’t move from her gaze, but she won’t hurt me if I don’t get closer. She doesn’t really care about me…”
Am I broken? I’ve never owned a cat as most of my family is allergic, but animals are often very friendly towards me, even notoriously mean or aloof animals. Can somebody interpret this for me?

I entered the game without a guide, and there was 5 doors. Two on my right, three on my left. On the right there was a blue and yellow door and on the left there was a pink, red, and black door. I felt safe to go in the pink door so i did. In the door there was a woman dressed in an outfit covered in feathers. She said, “hello” in a nice voice. Before I said anything she screamed and told me to run into the black door. I did as I was told. In the black room I found dozens of dead bodies. But one of the bodies talked to me and told me, “Run, run away from here and never come back.” I then snapped out of the game and I was hyperventilating and sweating. I then calmed myself down and later found a note in my bed. It said, “Come back i miss you” I can only assume that it was a message from someone in the game. I am too scared to go back in the game right now but I’m guessing when I go in it will be much worse.

For somebody with emotional trauma or emotional disorders, is anything in the “doors” other than the old woman or man in the suit that are capable of hurting you or deepening any psychological problems? Are the feelings of unease or dread just feelings? Or a warning?

Anything in the doors can harm you psychologically. It’s your mind, a world in which your perceptions truly shape everything. The woman and man in suit are simply common forms different kinds of fear or uncertainty take. I wouldn’t really recommend playing this if you have serious mental self-harm or emotional disorders. It is your mind, so the feelings-a mind only concept-are likely more real there than elsewhere, so I would definitely heed them.

What does it mean if I encounter a nun? Or a demonic like man dragging a woman in chains? I also saw two crawl spaces, one of which had a green ladder dropped down for me to climb up. I didn’t enter the one with the ladder or the other, as it had an ugly looking creature peering down at me from above. What does it mean if you also enter a room, and everything is lively, but you don’t remember entering it, and then the door is shit by itself? I was in a room full of grass and a huge oak tree, when suddenly I was standing there without remembering walking in. The door was shut when I turned around to leave, I had a hammer with me, everything turned black and white as if an old photograph, a woman was sobbing, weeping, asking me why I killed her. I began to break the door, literally resorting to prying it open with the hammer as my guide told me to get out of the room, and try to leave the session. I couldn’t feel my own body at that point, managing to get the door open, I slammed it shut. Also, what does it mean if the hallway turns red, or lights up and begins to look like a hospital? These are all weird things for me.

1: Why should you leave if you find a man in a suit or old lady?
2: I have played this before and I seemed to glitch a lot, what does that mean?
3: I have heard about NOT going through a room that has a black door and I was wondering why?

      Here’s an answer
1: Why should you leave if you find a man in a suit or old lady?
= Man in a suit and/or old lady is an outsider. Remember, its your mind, so it could not have been anyone else. Since it has been said that you should leave after seeing an old lady or a man in a suit, its possible that they are your fear, in a form of something weak or vulnerable. And the deeper you go, the dangerous they get. thats why we should avoid them as soon as we see them. Thats why guides are really useful.

2: I have played this before and I seemed to glitch a lot, what does that mean?
= a) Your mind is not prepared yet. Either the room has a disturbing elements (such as noise) or you have a second thought about it
b)Your mind wont allow you to enter but you (forcefully) enter your mind, making it glitched out (just like a computer)
c)Thats how your mind shows you, an incomplete set of halls

3: I have heard about NOT going through a room that has a black door and I was wondering why?
=Color has an impact on our brain, as we associate color with emotions. Red means angry, Blue means calm and etc.Black usually associates with power, elegance, formality, death, evil, and mystery. Thats why we SHOULD NOT enter it.

4: I have also heard that if the handle of the door is really cold or really hot NOT to go in it and again I was wondering why?
=I’m not too sure about this one.. but temperature on the door knobs probably means what the conditions behind each door, and the secrets hidden within. If the door knob is really cold, then it means the condition inside the room is cold, like a freezer. and the secret is cold too and vice versa for a door with a very hot knob.(our body can’t stand extreme heat and cold temperature and if exposed too much, death is coming. Which basically killing ourself in the real world) Thats why we should always inform our guide about what are we wearing. You might never know that your clothes can get into that same room.

I hope these answer can answer your question

I played with my sister, I wasn’t that scared. I recorded it, I will write what happened.

At first it was a long hallway, I looked down to inspect myself. I was wearing a Japanese school-girl outfit. I don’t know WHY I was wearing that. I guess I play too much corpse party, eh?
I opened a crimson door with a large lion knocker. I thought it would be a terrible idea to use it. I simply pushed open the room, it was full of metal chairs and a chalkboard. Like a school.
Next, I walked to the next door, it was sky blue and it just had a simple brown doorknob, No decorations on it. Zip, zero, nothing. I opened it, this was the clock room. I remembered when we were reading the page to stay away from that room. I ran from it.
Then, I saw a quite interesting door, a pink door with a simple jingle-bell on it. I inspected the doorknob, just a old fashioned “pull up the lock” sort of thing, I touched it. I remember it being ice-cold. then I saw the man in a suit. He was tall, I will write EXACTLY what I said; “A strange dude in a suit.. He is quite creepy.. I do not like this man.” That is when I was “awoken.” My sister simply said, “No! Wake up, Abby! That is most likely slenderman! He’ll steal your soul!” I woke up, and we both talked about it for the rest of the year.

It was the weirdest thing I’ve ever done, I may of missed it… But, can we do it again. With my sister being the one sleeping?

This is MY experience: Ok, so when I played it this year, and we’re all 14 btw, my best friend was leading me, and my 2 sisters were just watching, and everything was normal…. until I saw the old man, but for some odd reason, I felt an urge to not tell my friend. I also saw clocks, and I guess I whispered, “Clocks…”, so my friend was like, “Do you see any clocks?” I tried to say yes, but the old man told me not to, so I said no. He then locked me in the room, and grabbed me, and he was trying to push me towards the clocks, and I guess I started to hyperventilate, so she started shaking me, and she was slapping me I guess, and when I woke up, she was crying, and started cradling me…. I honestly didn’t remember what had happened during the session, but that night, I remembered EVERYTHING. We were going to play it again today, but we didn’t…..

I played this with my friend two times. In the first time, straight when she got in she saw a silhouette in the distance and it came straight into her face. It had a white with a intricate golden mask and it began to smile. This happened in a void of black not a corridor or room. I then woke her up because I was scared it was the suited man. What does the masked man mean? Is he dangerous? Can he kill you?

It says if you meet the man or old lady to leave the room immediately….Should you close the doors or just leave them open? Wouldn’t they be able to follow you? What if when you open one of the doors, they are both standing right infront of the door? What if they’re all in the same room? Too many questions…so little info to turn to

Close the door after making sure you weren’t followed. Check the room to make sure they’re still there, and listen for distant footsteps in the corridor, because yes, you can be followed—mind you, not by anything that doesn’t already exist somewhere in a deep dark recess of your brain. But yeah, if you don’t want to open that can of worms, close the door. Also, keep in mind that once you close a door, you cannot EVER open it again without the help of the lady, and you really don’t want the lady’s ‘help’; the price is not worth paying. Also, regarding the no-go places, your gut will let you know when you’re standing in front of one of those doors in the form of crippling sensations of dread, so you won’t find anything unless you want to/are stupid enough to. If you talk to anybody but your guide, you’re in too deep. To get away from them, slam the door in their face, keeping in mind that you’ll find them in places that your mind doesn’t want you and your soul to find. Some things are best kept hidden y’know. If they’re all in the same room, slam the door. If in doubt, slam the door (only from the outside!)

    I have some questions…
1: Can you use a cell phone as an alarm clock?
2: What if your partner is unable to wake you?
3: Can any harm come to you in the corridors? And if so, does it cross over onto you in real life?
4: Can you die playing this, if all my questions come true?

Yes so long as you can set the alarm.

Then you will have to rely on yourself to wake up. You must be willful enough to wake yourselk my friend.

And not physically but with any deep trance pain it WILL feel real and might even convince your brain you are dying. causing things to shut down.

      As such possibly.

      1. Do NOT substitute a cell phone as a alarm clock.
      2. Your not actually asleep when you’re doing this, but if your partner cannot bring you back to reality, the alarm clock certainly will.
      3. Unless you physically harm yourself in reality when you’re doing this, harm in the corridor or any of the rooms will not crossover in real life.
      4. You technically COULD die from this, getting mentally scarred can lead to death, but unless your mind is so twisted and warped, you can’t really die from this.

      Hope this helps!

Using digital devices in rituals that don’t require them is a tricky thing, and usually isn’t a good idea, this one seems a bit more tame, but as always, better safe than sorry.

So I definitely want to play this game, but I have a couple questions. Firstly, I’m a little confused about how this works. Do you just imagine a corridor after your partner says the words? Or do you have to you have to wait or something? I don’t get it. When you’re in the corridor, do you just simply imagine yourself and the first thought of what you look like in your imagination is what you’re wearing? Is the whole game based on what you imagine?

The whole point of the game is to get a thrill of seeking what’s in your mind, and anything you may encounter in this experience may tell you something about yourself that you never knew.

As the others said, it can be seen as a form of thrill seeking and good for stories but if you do it with a friend or at a party ( as my friends and I had a get together today where we did the ritual ), it’s actuall a nice and interesting way of getting to know a person.

I played and I’m scared shitless. This is what happened. As soon as it started I was falling and I landed in my families corpses. I screamed and jumped off the pile, instantly falling again through a dark abyss. I saw a door half burnt and by listening close I heard screams. I obviously left it. After a while of a oddly odorless corridor I noticed that I was being followed. I turned around and saw my partner. We started talking and he said “turn around quickly!” I turned round and saw the old lady carrying my corpse whilst the suited man was talking to her about how he was sorry how their ‘son’ had died. I shouted at them and they shot at me but the lady had threw a knife at me. I fell to my knees crying. Holding my wound. I woke up in a hospital bead…

Also goes to prove it’s okay to have multiple guides, especially since I had to help the other guide once when our friend encountered the elderly lady. Probably would have gone badly without me there lmao, she froze up

OKAY let me say LET’S DO THIS AGAIN. I lead myself through it, without a partner, and I’ll tell you how it went.
I checked myself for anything useful, only finding a flashlight and a few candies. I’m wearing slacks, a tight shirt, and a jacket. My shoes seem big. While performing the game I was actually wearing a fandom tee and jeans. I’m utterly creeped but still somewhat conscious. I just wander around, and all the doors seem…weird. I find a blue coloured door that looks pleasant enough, and I find it is filled with clocks. I hurry out and leave. Somehow some voice said ‘tick-tock, goes the clock. Tick-tock.’ I feel creeped and run. I meet a man in a suit but I’m not worried because he seems to be pleasant and doesn’t give me dreadful feelings. I just feel a bit of a message telling me to leave the room because he seems peculiar, I just leave the room, not ending the session yet, however. I leave and it starts to seem dark so I use my flashlight. I meet the old woman in a room and she locks me in. She begins to grab a weapon of sorts and right away I wake myself up. I survived this game, wooo!

I actually played the game with my sister and it worked on me (she could play it to but for some reason no matter what it didn’t work) and I was about to go in a room when a door randomly opens down the hallway and so I go to it. In the room is a man only he wasn’t like what is described in this his figure was pitch black and he had a lighter black smoke covering him. Weirdest part? I wasn’t scared of him, more of intrigued and I for some reason unexplained said leave I didn’t mean to and it’s not what I wanted either one of us to do. But I would like to point out that every time I played I knew what I was saying and I knew what was going on between the two places and yet at that point for some reason I said leave?

I know its weird but I had a hell of a time trying to wake up so my little brother came back and saw me not moving so he went to the kitchen grabbed a cup filled it up with cold water and then poured it all over me.

But I couldn’t get to it. I felt someone touching my back. I had my best friend wake me up because I couldn’t do it. My best friend also tried it she says, “When I finally got there I couldn’t find anything on my person, I felt kind of frozen. I only saw one door next to me so I walked over to it. It was locked and the handle didn’t even move at all. I couldn’t find a key. I was terrified because the door disappeared I could only see a dim light at the end of the tunnel and then I had my best friend wake me up because something didn’t feel right.”

I recommend to make a rule that if you feel trapped or can’t speak for some reason, tap your hand and make this at the start before you play. in my experience the more you play it the worse it gets and I have nightmares ever since. I don’t think any of us are the same – we are all proper creeped even though it’s been months since we played.

I got a weird feeling from it, but decided to open the door. In it was a small horse that seemed some-what peaceful. I went near it, and it’s eyes turned red and turned into some sort of demon-horse thing. It was the scariest thing in my life, I screamed at my guide to wake me up. The next was light blue with an all white cat in it. The last was a dark purple door with a picture of a clown everything started to warp and moving she left the room and after a bit of the hallways warping reddish yellow eyes appeared and I woke her up the hallways and walls of the room were all black. The next game there was only 1 white door in a greyish hallway she went in and saw a cat, she walked out and back in and she looked up there was no cat in the room and the door was locked, when she looked up she saw a mirror she couldn’t see her self but she was being “pulled/told” To go into it but I woke her instead but now when she closes her eyes she always sees the mirror what should we do?

Me and my older sister’s friends did this challenge and we wanted to test the theory so I told them I was willing to do it since I have depression and I am a very careless person I didn’t care or believe at the time but i will admit i was very frightened. We started to do it and. At first nothing happened I wasn’t able to fall into the cycle but then I went again with a different person and I fell into it pretty fast. I went into multiple different rooms and depending on the room you will swallow and feel scared, many was dark blue for me.
I felt uneasy but disturbingly curious and everytime my partener told me to go into the room with the bright colour I never told them about the white door that was in few rooms I know I should of told her, I was so curious to my mind, I went into the blue room one time before I woke and it was dark and when the lights turned on I saw my old dog Maxi he was a caramel border collie. I have seen him in my room multiple times even though I haven’t seen him for a long time but I miss him so much I see him but realise he isn’t there.
I saw him in the room but he was dead.. And this made me cry. I new seeing this and not telling her was very dangerous but I was almost drawn to it.
I went completely blank. And I remember her asking me to wake up and imediently I said yes.
Another friend went aswell and she had nothing bad happen she was completely honest but when she woke we both felt sick and she was acting very unusually quiet but everybody worried bout me because I had a tear roll down my cheek and they were worried I saw something…. dangerous. I feel sick every time I see a door. And I have some problems with being around animals it makes me scared and emotional and Maggie and I both heard a voice of an deep lady’s voice so robotic like and no one had a phone on them it was very scary and we both heard the same words…
I sometimes see dark shadows in the corner in the slight part of my eye but i just swallow and pretend I didn’t notice…
      Be completely honest

This game is very similar to Red Door, Yellow Door. In RDYD, a room full of clocks is very dangerous, as they can trap you. The man in the suit is also dangerous. If you see him you’re supposed to leave immediately; he can and will kill you.

clocks and mirrors can trap you. a man in a suit will try to kill you and probably will too. lighter colored doors are safer. people in general are normally not there for a good purpose and will also try to kill you.

Can people give me their experience on being the guide?
Like what what the other person doing? Did any body portions change, did they open their eyes, yet still in the trance? Did they make any odd movements?

I was the guide and they were perfectly still but one time i was doing it to my friends and she walked in a room and said there was a man and 2 seconds later she had a panic attack it was super scary and i am glad i am always the guide and not the person going in.

I haven’t tried this yet, but having me read this makes me wonder what does the old woman and the tall man in the suit mean? They tell you to close the door when you see the old woman, but to completely stop the session when you see the tall man in the suit. This makes me wonder, what do they symbolize. Is one a symbol for death, for the past? Is one for dark feelings and or thoughts? So many un-answered questions. What are your thoughts?
