Hello, Gentle Readers!
It’s that time again: It’s the end of the year, so I’m taking a little bit of time off to recharge my batteries and whatnot. I am not traveling for, um, obvious reasons, but, hey, a staycation can be nice, too, right?
But! As is traditional, TGIMM won’t be ceasing publication entirely while I’m gone. We’ll be holding off on publishing the longform pieces that usually go up on Mondays, but our usual Wednesday content will still be going live. So, for the next few weeks, look for an Encyclopaedia entry on Dec. 16, a Most Dangerous Game on Dec. 23, and a Creepypasta Of The Week on Dec. 30. We’ll be back to our standard, twice-weekly publishing schedule the week of Jan. 4, 2021.
And in the meantime, I’ll leave you with a spooky short film to tide you over:
Titled “In The Walls” and produced by Social House Films, it, uh… might hit a little close to home for anyone who has moved recently, or who simply hasn’t left their home in a while. (Hi, hello, it’s me, I’m talking about me.) While there are a few quirks about the way the narrative unfolds that I might have chosen to do differently, there’s a lot here that’s quite effective; like the Shudder exclusive feature Host that came out earlier this year, it makes use of the Zoom-, FaceTime-, Discord-, etc.-based style of communication that’s become a staple of our current world — and lead Mariah Ann Martin is terrific.
Stay spooky, friends — see you in 2021!
