Hello, Gentle Readers!
It is another holiday weekend here, so I am taking today off. We’ll be back on Wednesday with a fun new Creepypasta Of The Week, though, so check back in a few days from now; also, if you want to enter the currently-running giveaway for a signed copy of Dangerous Games To Play In The Dark in honor of the book’s first birthday (happy birthday, book!), don’t forget to do that here.
In the meantime, here is a short, stop-motion animated version of the old folktale many know by its Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark incarnation, “The Big Toe.” This one does some neat things with the tale; I particularly like the implications of the ending. Also, if you enjoy Tim Burton or Henry Selick’s work, you will probably enjoy this one, as well. Warning: There are flashing lights at various points in this video (especially starting around the six-minute mark), so if you have epilepsy, experience seizures, or are otherwise photosensitive, you should probably skip this one.
See you in a few days!
