Previously: The White Kimono Game.
In some ways, the Little Finger Game is reminiscent of Tominoâs Hell: There arenât any rituals you need to perform, words you need to chant, or spirits you need to invoke in order to play; all you have to do is read a story.
Just make sure that you absolutely do want to play before reading onward â because once you begin the tale, you canât back out of the game.
Whatâs sort of interesting, though, is that there are some actions you need to take beyond reading the story; however, you wonât be taking those actions in reality. Youâll be taking them in a dream. As such â similarly to the White Kimono Game â Iâd make sure to brush up on your lucid dreaming skills before you play this one. There will be a point where youâll have to make a choice within a dream, and if youâre not skilled at manipulating your own dreams, youâll likely have a hard time making the right one.

As always, play at your own risk.
Players:
- One principal.
Requirements:
- The story âThe Little Finger.â
Instructions:
- Read the following story (NOTE: If you do not want to play this game, do NOT continue reading):
- This is the story of a dream. In the dream, you are standing by a riverbank. A thick fog hangs over everything. You see an old woman crouching next to a gate. She is desperately looking for something, rummaging through the tall grass.âWhat are you looking for?â you ask.The old woman turns around. âI am looking for a little finger,â she replies. She holds out her left hand, and, sure enough, the little finger is missing.âCan you help me look for it?â she asks.âYes,â you say, and the search for the little finger begins.
- Within seven days of reading this story, you will have the dream described within it.
- When, while dreaming, the woman asks you to help her look for her little finger, you must make a choice: Will you say âyesâ or âno?â
- It is NOT recommended that you say âno.â
- If you say âyes,â the search for the little finger begins.
- Do not fail to find it.
Additional Notes:
The story may be read either aloud or silently; either is sufficient to begin the game.
The origins of this game are somewhat murky; some sources claim it is Japanese, although these claims appear to be unsubstantiated. It is unknown who the woman in the dream is, or how she lost her little finger.
Concerning The Little Finger:
Should you fail to find it within the dream, you will never be able to wake up again.
Make sure you find it.
There is no other prize for winning… but then again, being able to wake up, rather than being trapped in the prison of a dream, is perhaps prize enough.

Ziaheart says
Supposedly, yes.
Carli Cupcaker says
Iâm so scared that I’m gonna see the old woman but I want to read this soooooooo bad! If I read it will she come visit me?
Katie says
What if I answer no tho?
I mean to finding the ladyâs finger.
Di wow says
If I fail then don’t sleep
I will never sleep again
Isu says
I read this story countless times but nothing happened. Absolutely nothing! I was disappointed, I must admit. Well, I think some important stuff is missing either in the instructions or in the story itself.
Sophie says
Thank God I thought it was real and now Iâm scared
JEFF JOHN says
I read this by mistake. PLS HELP. Is it safe. It was by mistake
Cheyanne-Moon Maitland says
I did too i read through it and i accidentally started the game
E H says
Hereâs my question:
How do we have control over what we do while weâre sleeping?
Ziaheart says
Some people can lucid-dream, where they are aware that they’re dreaming and influence it with their will somewhat. This skill can apparently be practiced.
all_forscarystories says
What if you just don’t answer or say I don’t know? It didn’t say what would happen with that. Is that beating the system or…?
ISurvivedTheLittleFinger says
Yeah, it probably wouldn’t work.
Funnybobaoffical says

ISurvivedTheLittleFinger says
I survived! Yesterday was my last day, and I didn’t have the dream! I’ve only felt like someone’s watching me…My friend read it too, and she’s had alternate versions of the dream (more modern day). It should be safe to read the story, though.
IReadTheLittleFinger says
So, today is night 4 of the game, and nothing’s happened yet. I was really scared and stuff after I read the story, but I’m pretty sure nothing’s going to happen to me/you thanks to this game.
Either way, wish me luck!
Daniel says
How to beat the game: 1: Read 2: Practice lucid dreaming (before you read it and after the woman comes) 3: The woman asks 4: LITERALLY SUMMON A FINGER WITH YOUR LUCID POWERS DUHHH
Jim jam bois says
So can someone summarize the story? Would it count as reading it if you read a shortened version? What if you read most of it but skip over a section? Would it count as reading it?
Mark says
This isn’t a ritual in that sense, what’s happening is by presenting it like this, it’ll suggest your mind to dream about a spesific thing. Which would then henceforth make you dream of it, and panic.
In that case, yes a shortened form would do it.
As long as you don’t worry to much about it you are fine. Even if you do have the dream you are fine because it’s just your mind recreating what you read.
Just Me says
Wait… so if all you have to do to trigger this game is read the story in any shape or form whether it be in your head or out loud etc… how the heck did you copy and paste it here? Did anything happen for you, Lucia?
Lucia says
I’m still alive and well — do with that what you will!
Anthony says
I’ve read the story in my thoughts and am wondering whether or not I will be playing this game? I am uneasy and don’t feel like experiencing this dream.
Ned Winston says
All I did was read the other instructions besides the story and additional notes, but I have a question about the dream. From what I saw in the addition notes I need to find the little finger or else I will never wake up. My first question is, will I just be trapped in the dream until I find it or do I have a time limit. And another question, is it possible for someone to successfully wake me up (If I told them I should be awake by xx:xx am, and I’m not awake) if I’m “trapped in the dream”?
Craig says
Read the story and no dreams. I did have a little fun with it though, one of my coworkers is terrified of things such as this; I sent him the story by itself and informed him of the rest after he read it. He was not happy at first.
Diamondej says
I’m pretty sure that anyone who reads this story and gets the dream is because they’re worrying about it and thinking about it all the time, thus having a dream about it.
E-J says
Read this a week ago, I didn’t have any strange dreams or anything. It’s safe to read it!
Anonimous says
It’s a story that messes with your head. if you read it you’re gonna dream about it. but it’s just to make you scared…. you control your dreams.
Gail says
For me it’s okay if my fingers go missing, just at least it is one of those with warts.
Elizaire says
I accidentally read the story and I’m like freaking out right now. I do not want to have the dream. Any advice? Please and thank you đ
Sya says
Just forget you read it.
Your brain tends to dream about stuff you’ve seen, heard or read about… but if you do far more interesting things during the day, you won’t even remember about the story and the dream will never come.
Lonecoma says
So I didnt see the intro and thought the story was the intro, and it wasnt until i saw step two i looked back and realized i accidentaly read the story, can I get some help?
Dark Soul says
I read this in scary for kids, nothing happened.I guess it is probably cause i did not read it aloud.Well good my fingers are good as they should be.
Designer Charlotte says
Yo, accidental Little Finger readers. I have found a way to be safe.
In the game, it says that you must read the story seven days before continuing.
So if you accidentally read the story, the next day you read it, skip over to step 2 and dun, dun, dun. No little finger dreams.
Felicia says
Okay, so I accidentally played this a few years ago, back when I just graduated from middle school.
It wasn’t the most pleasant experience to me, no not at all, it even traumatised me for a little.
So after I read this, I went asleep on the upcoming night. In my dream, I saw a lady looking for her finger, and she asked to me if I could lean one to her. I was scared that I immediately woke myself up. The clock by the time showed 3:30 AM and I couldn’t sleep afterwards.
Good news? My fingers all still intact up until today. Bad news? I never wanted to read this again, even if by accident.
So folks, if you still care about your fingers and overall well being, PLEASE DO NOT try this game, it isn’t safe at all and you could even lose something worse, worse than a finger or two.
Kuugeki says
Hello, I read this in my mind, will I still be affected? I have no lucid dreaming experience, and I really don’t want to die, is there any way to back out, if not do I just have to lucid dream train for 7 days and see what I can do in the dream… I love your series an always will, but I never intended to die because of it *nervous laughter*…
Ome_blue_glove says
You still here? Hope you survived đ
Dimensional says
Lol.. Fudge it! I ain’t reading this crap. I simpy, just scrolled down to the end of this site, and continued on checking out the comments. I’m way too creeped out..
I’m overwhelmingly shocked by the fact that I managed to beat my curiosity.
Ome_blue_glove says
same
Sebastian says
Bruh, honestly. I thought it was like a ritual and I was curious on seeing the steps. But when it said all I had to do was read it, I immediately thought, “I’m good, yeah, no thanks.” I’m just proud of myself for beating my curiosity.
jacob simon says
what happens if i say no
Slander Moon says
the story, but i dont wanna play the game, is there a way around this?
MJ says
The story is basically about an old lady without a finger on her left hand asking you to help her find it. I guess that will be the dream I will have in 7 days lol
Slander Moon says
Wait to post this you would have needed to read the story, so iim guessing that you found the finger? Also i want to read th
KAP says
Hey so curiosity got the better of me, and i just scanned the story like just now. Will I still get the dream because I made mistake doing that. I literally got shivers up my spine, is that an indication that I will get the dream?
Tato says
Okay,I read the whole thing, what the heck.If something happens I’ll let you know…that if I’m not trapped in dream world.Wish me luck.
Candle says
I would consider this bogus if all that is required is to silently read it to activate the ritual. However, I would highly recommend not speaking it aloud as I DO believe that doing that is reaaally unwise as spoken word has a lot more power than many people seem to think. About cancellation of this ritual, I would say that saying a good Bible verse about liberation from such things as it provides comfort, overpowers the ritual, and/or closes up any nasty open doors. (Though it might only apply to Christians)
Angelina Jones says
I read the whole story, both silently and aloud but nothing happened. I was waiting impatiently for the lady to take a visit but I guess she doesn’t like spoilt brats so….yea?
M says
Accidentally read like two sentences, got a bad feeling and immediately stopped. I REALLY really don’t want to play this game.
But just to be 100% sure,
you NEED to read the whole story to play it and if you only read like half of it, nothing will happen?
NANI? says
I read like the first word. Then clicked off. Will anything happen to me?
Ome_blue_glove says
Nah. Same happened to me a few months ago and nothing’s happened yet.
AbeThePenguin says
I READ THE FULL THING BUT I DON’T WANT TO EXPERIENCE THIS IS THERE A WAY TO AVOID PLAYING THIS GAME
didi says
I read the whole thing too because I was curious but it’s been 7 days and I’m still alive and didn’t even dream about it so no worries
NANI? says
Have you slept?
CreepyChic says
Don’t worry. You won’t
Meteor Girl says
I skipped da story!!!! Yehey!
SilentSong says
Idk why but I read this a while back and read some other thing (not Tomino’s Hell) that was supposed to haunt you in your dreams. It could have cancelled it out because I read both and they were meant to happen within the same week of reading them? The other thing was on Scary For Kids, I think…. Maybe that’s how to stay safe? đ
SilentSong says
* idk why it didn’t work at the time
Candle says
Well, did you read it aloud? If not, then it did not work. Without spoken words, rituals like these are usually ineffective. However, if someone constantly talks about being haunted by this ritual, then the chance is created for them to be affected by such ritual or simply they reaaally believe in the curse. This what I can infer.
Ayano Aishi says
but reading it in your mind can also trigger the ritual.
didi says
socks i mean
didi says
Im reading the comments without packs lmao
Wolf123 says
Welp. Its been a while since ive read it, and im here. No dream. No nothing. Disapointed ?
Wolf123 says
“It” is the story
PurpleGirlTheHorrorFan says
Who else is reading the comments here without socks?
Lira says
I am. I don’t like wearing socks when I read scary stories, in case I need to make a quick escape.
PurpleGirlTheHorrorFan says
LOL!!!!!
Sebastian says
Probably why I never wear socks, lol. I always feel like I’ll need to make a mad dash when I ready these things.
two girls says
me!!
Meteor Girl says
I read it! What’s gonna happen to me now?!!
Wolf123 says
I read it, and here i am 7 days later. Nothing happened. No dream, no nothing.
Christina says
I accidentally read the first couple lines. Does this mean I’ll get visited by that old woman? I did not read on though.
Hirota says
Nope. When I read a couple lines but not the whole story, nothing happened.
oof says
No one gets the dream even if they finished it from the looks of these comments… you’re safe.
Hirota says
I read a few lines.
Jelica says
What happens if you say no?
Hirota says
Youâll obviously die.
Wolf123 says
Wait, but what if i read the story backwards? Would that have me still do the ritual? Sorry if this was a stupid question.
Wolf123 says
Argh! I want to read the story, but i DONT want to do the ritual! Argh! Why curiosity! Why!?
Dr. Lecter says
Shortly said;
You encounter a woman who wants you to assist her finding the lost finger. Say yes and you’ll be doomed to search until you find it. Say no and you’ll never wake up.
NananananaBatman says
well, let’s see how this goes.
foodinbooks says
I didn’t read the story; I just very quickly scrolled to the bottom to read the comments. Am I safe?
Meteor Girl says
Yup, your safe. Unless you actually read the whole story though.
Sherlyn says
So if I read the whole story and I read it out loud am I in the game
But the thing is that I read it in the day does that mean Iâm in the game or no cause if Iâm Iâm in the game Iâm screwed
PurpleGirlTheHorrorFan says
Perfectly safe.
Michelle says
Same
Hannah J says
That’s what I did too, so I think you’re good
Evankey says
Yesterday, I read it. I’m 99% sure that if I encounter the old woman(I’m used to having lucid dream). I would be able to find her finger. First time playing this type of game…Let’s hope I survive. I couldn’t stop reading. “Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back”. Good Luck fellow players.
Mello Is Not Afraid says
No worries. I read this a month ago, no dreams yet. The validity of this is questionable
Ayano Aishi says
sooo that means it’s fake?
lAnonymous says
What if I accidentally read the story?
livy says
I accidentally read the story too and i don’t want to play. I’m not sure what happens though:(
Mello Is Not Afraid says
Don´t worry girlie. I read this three times and no dreams yet. It´s been two months.
Olivia says
Thank goodness, I read the story and I was sooooo scared and I was really worried.
Resham Rachhpal says
Nothing happened
MG says
Is this a story where it plays with your head? I didnât mean to read the story.
Matt says
Guess youâll die then.
Rhiannon says
If I read this aloud to someone else, will they also be cursed? Sorry for all these questions
NananananaBatman says
To answer your questions (the best I can)…
1. Most likely, but some lucid dreaming skill will help.
2. I’d assume not, because some other force is involved here.
3. Knowing the human body, you are physically unable to stay awake that long, even with caffeine, sugar, etc.
4. You’ll die either way, but I’d assume so.
5. That’s a good question. I’d assume you’re safe, to some degree.
6. They’re not the ones actually reading the story, so I’d assume the answer is no. However, even knowing this, I’d recommend you don’t read it to someone else. How would you feel if you accidentally caused someone’s death?
Alastor says
I agree with you, however, if this game is real, your body will end up dying like you said, but your spirit would be trapped in an infinite hell.
Supernatural animal says
I’ve got a theory: if you read it, you keep thinking about it and u know how thinking about a thing for a long time will result in a dream? Well, since you think about the finger, you dream about it. Youâll probably wake up though.
Rhiannon says
Can I just read part of the story but never finish it? Like, will that still count as reading it and put me into the game?
Hirota says
Nope. You need to read the full thing.
Darkheart says
Since you posted this story I assume you have read it and experienced it. If so how did it go? I am rather curious. Was the finger easy to find?
Sya says
They could have just copy it from somewhere else and paste it in the blog without reading the whole thing.
Just Me says
That’s what I’m wondering!
Rhiannon says
If I’m trapped in the dream, will I eventually die of dehydration or starvation and be free?
Isla says
Ur not gonna die u gonna trap on the dream for 7 days after the 7 days ur safe (I just heard on tik tok so yeah)
Rhiannon says
What if I don’t sleep for seven days? Have I defeated the system, or will i just piss off whatever entity is invented lived in this game?
lucy fir says
if you don’t sleep for 7 days you die. not because of an entity, but because you biologically can’t stay awake for a full week. you will die
Kayla says
Actually a human being can survive without sleep for 11 days
Ryan says
Actually, sleeping for seven days is possible. It is just very difficult. The body collapses from exhaustion after eleven days. Also, you can’t die from no sleeping.
Observer says
Like the other replies said, it’s possible to stay up for seven days but you WILL need outside help (your body will start falling into “microsleep”s on its own given enough sleep deprivation so you’ll need people to constantly ensure you’re awake). You’ll also have a miserable time, be horrendously bitter and angry, will begin hallucinating at some point, and going for that long without sleep can actually lead to psychological damage, so whether or not this game is real it’s not a very good idea. Also when something like this was attempted before by an old radio host, he slept for over 24 hours at the end of it all, so assuming you’ve been doing this to avoid the dream and this hasn’t broken the system… you’re probably gonna have a hell of a 24 hour sleep đ
Irene says
If yâall have watched Nightmare on Elm Street you would know that you can go a full week or more without sleeping but you will need the help of outside forces because otherwise your body will basically just collapse and you WILL fall asleep. And chances are little finger lady is gonna be pissed you didnât come visit her right away.
Mello Is Not Afraid says
I slept but I never got any dreams
Tiara says
Yeah, me too, it has been three days since I have read the story, but nothing has happened.
Supernatural animal says
I read the story a month ago and I stayed up only sleeping like, 3 hours a night. I didnât get any hallucinations so I slept soundly for the next few days until one week was over. I read it again and this time I slept normally without getting any dreams.
Kenna says
Itâs not real guys! Donât be afraid đ
Alex says
TYSM I WAS SO NERVOUS
abby says
ok I was kinda scared to read it at first. I just read it and I was wondering if it was real or fake.
roxy says
i got rlly scared bc i read a story similar to this and i’m on my seventh day
but i just read this and don’t wanna play
so i’m a lil freaked out lmao
but it was a different story i read a while ago
Rhiannon says
If I’m not skilled at lucid dreaming, will I still be able to make conscience choices within the game? Also, if I can lucid dream, will I be able to wake myself up if it looks like I’m going to lose?
eldar janybekov says
I read the full story and within 2 weeks nothing has happened so far. I am 100 percent convinced that this doesn’t work, and to all the people who are scared to read the story lmao don’t be. Although I may have not experienced a dream, related to the the story, after I read the story I have been having a lot of lucid dreams and most of them were about me running from slender man to school at 3AM lmao
